Classics that are still very cool (IMHO!). Look great with jeans in various shades & colours (blue, khaki or black). Appear to be well-made & are very comfortable. (Swift delivery, too.) Just make sure that you order them 1-size larger than your normal UK size.
Go on other Adidas shoe sizes! April 12, 2010 mcfly (England) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
After reading the advice posted here I ordered a 9.5 when I normally take a 9 - shoes were too big, had to return!
Try other adidas shoes for size and you will not make the mistake I did after reading comments on this page!
Cool trainers...cool service! June 7, 2010 J. Cooper (Basingstoke, Hampshire) I just love my Samba's and always have and needed a new pair so the search began. Found them here on Amazon and Sportsdirect were the best priced. They also delivered quicker than anticipated (next day for the standard rate charge).
Brilliant service for a fantastic product!
super sambas May 30, 2010 misfit (uk) I don't really wear trainers. Work = shoes and mid life crisis aside, I tend to find them a bit naff (no offence to trainer lovers I am just used to having to wear shoes). I remember these when they came out first time around. They are smart, stylish (not garish or OTT) and very comfortable. I am going to buy another pair because they are so good. Fitted well and I even wear them to work with no comments; so they pass muster.
I certainly recommend these. My daughter (a sage on style and trainers) says they are ok - she suggested them taking into account the following criteria: age (young at heart but not to look at) weight, my general appearance and, most importantly, would she be seen with me in the presence of younger and more trendy friends and not feel humiliated. These trainers were deemed acceptable. I was thinking of other types but between my daughter and my wife most were ruled out.
So, if you are young ( aged say 18 to 25 ) these are fine, if you are slightly older (and wiser possibly) these trainers are excellent as you won't embarrass anyone if you wear them. They also look and feel good. One thing I did notice, when I am driving my car and the trainer soles are wet (raining for example), they slipped of the pedal. Bear that in mind as I don't recommend driving with wet soles. Alternatively, Adidas Gazelle seem good and I may be trying them soon.
Samba Retro Review April 12, 2010 A. Simpson (UK) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I thought I'd try them out again, since they were my favourite shoes for about forever, really. They feel a little different, but they look great. Not a bad product at all and recommended to anyone who wants to try them out again.
